hi
is there any way i can remove a single entry from windows dns cache without flushing the whole cache out of the window?
its because we need the unit to be available 24/7 whether its ip address has moved or not, i know that with registry manipulation i can remove the dns caching or turn down dns caching time from the default 24hrs, but we need their client dns caching to remain the same, only our unit's entry to change.
i don't mond parsing the dns cache at file level, but would prefer to access it through a more pretty means (.net library etc)...
does anyone know where the cache file is stored?
many thanks and i look forward to any replies!
