Need help turning off a viewing function

Not sure how to describe this so I have a picture of the problem...

Could someone tell me how to get rid of the blue arrows (for tabs) and dots (for spaces). I must have hit some random button and they appeared one day...

Customize menu, Edit, Toggle Visual Space (icon looks like this [A·B], I found it nowhere in default menus)

Options, Keyboard, Edit.ViewWhiteSpace (no keyboard shortcut was set in mine for this, I read somewhere the shortcut could be Ctrl-R,Ctrl-W)

The other strange whitespace characters "{ } ;" I think they call C#. You have to translate to VB.Net to rid those.
