true, and thats a shame because CR is pretty good... oh well, the price you pay for something being free! 
i would recommend you download web developer express, as well as the advanced tools with sql server express, as you can use sql server reporting services as a reporting tool, and i must admit that after using it for a while SRS isnt too bad.
another possible way to integrate reports into your application, would be to create a form with with web browser control inside it (the size of the form) and navigate to the reports created from there... cheap but it works!
