Installing Windows Service onto a server

Hi,

I have an application which is a Windows Service.

I have been successful in deploying this application on my local machine, by building it and running InstallUtils in the Visual Studio prompt.

however I would like to migrate this onto another server (DEV and PROD) and I'm not sure how to register this Windows Service on a machine that doesn't have Visual Studio and therefore doesn't have the VS command prompt.

I have tried loading up the standard DOS prompt but InstallUtils do not exist. Can another help me?

InstallUtil is a .Net Framework tool, it is in the .Net folder, defaults C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727 or similar.
Perhaps better to create a proper deployment package, see How to create a Setup project for a Windows Service in Visual Basic .NET or in Visual Basic 2005
