Hw to Deploy a window appl(VS 2008, Window 7), such that it will be installable on XP

Hi, i deployed a window form application using Visual Studio 2008 on a system using window 7 operating system. when i installed it on a system using window 7 it works fine, but on a system using XP operating system, it does not work, it brings an error cannot download some file, i think the .Net framework file. pls what can i do?
