I'm trying to create an RSS reader centered around celebrity gossip news. However, a standard form just looks way to boring for this crowd. Does anyone have any tips on how to make forms looks better/more hip?

Does anyone know of any user interface templates or samples?

Thanks!

Bizzare but, after all these years spent in programming trying to find out what is the best design pattern and how it should look like i learned that it's just impossible to be found. There is noone out there that can say "this is the best GUI for your app, web site etc." no matter of culture, trend etc. No no ... rather you will always find someone who will dislike it no matter how good it is.
Means you must always tend to use all your creativity as much as possible implementing all your ideas and even if you fall short of your expectations, do it giving your best. I think that it is just "matter of taste" (de gustibus non est disputandum - There is no disputing about tastes).
With other words, you will never find design pattern that will please all your reviewers :)

Regards ;)

I definately agree with him on this one. You can't please em all and if you just get a lil creative with it and unique it may attract more people. However; keep in mind that you may over do it and make it look abnoxious and people will hate it more. You don't want to scare off the user and or make it look a confusing to use. I think your best using simple animation, many soft colors, and a simple (non cluttered) look. GL
