Google Earth - get altitude from coordinates

Hi guys,

I'm searching for a way (code) for a function using google earth to get the altitude of coordinates.

Does anyone know some source code?

I've been looking for some functions but there is only documentation about entering coordinates and and the map is centered at the entered position =)
