Experienced IT developer with a technical skill set to assist in developing software leveraging Visual Basic.NET, SQL Server 2000 and a variety of additional technical components. The position requires VB.NET development skills with an emphasis on XML and Windows Services development and design. Also, SQL Server 2000/2005 skills are considered mandatory. The position is for a core developer working with existing applications and new market products. Immediate opening.
The developer must be very independent and motivated to work with a distributed development team. The technical skills must already be present to work in an environment of senior developers coming together in a distributed fashion to build an integrated product suite. One must be able to work well in a team based development environment while working independently and with minimal technical supervision.
Required Skills: It is expected that the developer will have at least 2 years of hands-on .NET experience (particularly VB.NET and T-SQL) with additional experience in database technologies.
Additional skills should include:
. Familiar with T-SQL/ANSI SQL syntax
. Familiar with XML and XLST
. Strong query development/de-bugging skills
. Familiarity with threading and performance tuning
. Knowledge of Microsoft .net technologies
. Experience with team development, design and implementation.
. Developing prototypes; building n-tier, scalable applications.
