Question Developping communities

Hi everybody.
I am new to Visial Basic 2010 programming. I am not a Professional developper. I have been reading a book on such a field. Still, I need to practice on real programming situations. Will you suggest any developping team I may join in order to focus on creating real projects? Or parts of a real project?

Source Forge is always good. You can actually get pretty good practice/experience just be visiting the forums often. See what other people are doing and see if you can accomplish the same task.
