say there is an MS Access db named "db1".how can i connect to this db,retrieve & add records to it in VB.NET? it'll be good if someone can give me the full coding of connecting & manipulating databases in VB.Net since i'm new to VB.NET.

I'm sure it would be good if someone could do everything for you. Given that there are numerous references and tutorials already on the Web though, maybe you could get your hands dirty just a bit. There's more to development than code. Understanding principles should come first.
