creating form from webform

hi,
I have one situation..
I have one web page on that page I have few textbox and other controls at the end I have save button one more butten edit is there...
As soon I click on edit button It should create pop up window and pop up window shows 2 text boxes and save button...as soon as I click save button that data entered into text boxes should be saved in database as well as it should be shown in parent web page..

Can anybody tell me how to do this?

One way is to use some client side script like javascript.
