I didn't know what forum category my question on this conversion process would fall in so I apologize if I am wrong.
My VB.Net application was liked by a school system. However they don't allow cd applications used individually on single PC's . They want them to be on a server and then purchase a license to use it from there.
What kind of business would do a conversion like this? Does it mean the entire program would have to be rewritten. There's over 50 forms in it and about 80 pages of code. Would I have to have multiple versions of it or do all servers accept it? Any idea on the cost to do this?
Any advice would be appreciated. At least to start to know what questions I should ask when I start looking for someone to do it.
