Communicate Phone?

Hi all, First off I'm new to the forum so I hope I am posting this in the right section. I'm posting because Im wondering if there is a way to communicate with my phone from my program and if so what would be the best way? What I'm trying to do is store information on my desktop that I can retrieve when im on the go from my phone.

Your computer would have to be exposed to the internet somehow, otherwise your phone won't be able to see it. Either that or else your phone would have to make a VPN connection to your home network. I'd suggest that the simplest option would just be to use SkyDrive or the like.

Thank you for the very fast response. The information I'm trying to store is an 900x900 grid with each cell containing information constantly being updated. How hard would it be to write an app to update that information if I was to use SkyDrive? I'm not the best, but I could write an app on my phone to pull the information off

It would be easy enough to copy an Excel workbook, Access database or even just a CSV between your PC, SkyDrive and your phone.
