Changing Windows sounds scheme

Hello everyone.

I'm making an Audio/Video player, and I'm thinking about muting everything BUT the player.
Is this possible somehow ?
I googled alot before, but I can't find anything. I found alot on how to mute everything, but I need to mute everything BUT a single program, like the windows Vista/7 mixer does.
(The program doesn't nessecarily need to be compatible on Windows XP, I don't use it)

So, is there a way to mute everything but a single program, and if not to enable the "No Sounds" sound scheme of windows ?
