capture images using webcam

I have swann webcam Mac IP cam network camera.......its connected to the RJ-45 connector....I want to capture images after every 10 sec. from this and save it in to sql database..............can you guys help me out

Well you do know where to start because I just posted it: Windows Image Acquisition. You want to take a picture using a webcam using WIA in .NET. You can search the web for those keywords as easily as I can.

thanks! hehe you're quite right... sorry for the late reply though... i already found sample using TWAIN and i'm still studying it. do you know the pros and cons of using that, is WIA better?

TWAIN is older so I'd guess that WIA has some functionality advantages, but TWAIN may also be more widely supported. I don't know if TWAIN is supported outside of Windows but WIA definitely isn't. Other than that, no idea.

yeah i believe it is supported. and i found it easier to connect to my camera than the WIA =) thanks so much for your help jmcilhinney i hope i can learn a lot from you and this forum. i've just started with .net a few weeks ago from VB6 and i didnt really have a good background on that too. but i'm making progress =)
