We have a website that is in production on our intranet. The web address is
http://www.jj.oursites.com/ops/all/logon
I pulled the whole site from the server to my pc to edit it. I put it under C:\inetpub\wwwroot\all\prog of my pc, created the virtual directory (like I do other projects) and when I attempt to open the .sln file I recieve the following error

The default Web access mode for this project is set to file share, but the project folder at 'http://www.jj/oursite.com/ops/all/logon' cannot be opened with the path '\\www.jj.oursite.com\wwwroot$\ops\all\logon'. The error returned was:

Unable to open Web project 'Ops/all/logon'. The Web 'Ops/all/logon' located on server 'http://www.jj.oursite.com' does not exist.

Then it gives the option to retry opening it or to try opening it using FrontPage Server Extensions.

I just want to be able to open this program up to edit it.

Any help would be appreciated.

I would start with a email to your web host, checking you are using the correct method to access it, and the right path.

I am using the right method It is within out LAN. All I do is map to the server and copy the program from the server to my PC.

I did not develop this app, but have been left in charge of it. Just want to edit it.
