Can't display my form in designer

I have a form I previously designed and still gets used in my app but in the designer the view in designer button disappears when I click the file?

From what I can see by the icon it has somehow changed itself to be a module rather than a form?

How do I get the file back to be a form type so I can open it to modify its design?

It hasn't become a module. Only modules can be modules. Forms are classes, not modules. Likely your form's resource file has become corrupt. Try dragging it to another project to create a copy. Test it to see if it works in that project. If it does then delete the original and drag it back again.
