Question Can we migrate using Visual studio 2008 trial edition.

I am planning to migrate a vb.net application from 1.1 to 3.5 framework. Can we migrate using Visual studio 2008 trial edition.Can anyone please provide inputs?

When the trial edition expires and you aren't planning on purchasing it, there's always the express editions which are free.

As far as input goes, make a copy of the 1.1 app and upgrade the copy (so if something goes wrong, the original app is still intact)

The Upgrade Wizard also has option to create backup before conversion, this option is enabled by default, it then places the original files in a Backup subfolder.
