Application Error

I am running VB.NET Express Edition and when I run the application I created, I get the following error:

The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000005). Click on OK to terminate the application.

Is there a fix for this? Please help! I am running it on XP at work.

Could be any one of a hundred reasons, but the most common are viruses, spyeware or corrupt/faulty memory..

Try re-installing the framework..

Failing that run all the anti-virus/anti-spyware you've got and hope for a hit.

I could reinstall it, but running spyware or virus scans is not an option considering that this is a work computer and I would have to have admin. priveledges to do that.

Dosen't the Framework install require admin privilidges? Either way, if there is a potential spyware/virus problem on the machine I'm sure your network admin would be willing to run the scan for you...
