Anything but Crystal Reports

Can anyone recommend a report writer for a vb.net windows project. I've had it with CR. I have a project, build a report with CR and all works fine in the development environment, but when it gets deployed the reports generate an error. Post on CR forum returned nothing and their knowledgebase is worthless. It's been like this with every new release of CR. Enough!
So if anyone has use a good report writer, the cheaper, the better, I'm all ears.
