any one use mysql direct.net component

there is the best component for mysql called mysql direct.net for connecting with mysql and dealing with data

but bad news is it is not free any help to work with data with this control

I'm assuming a lot here but because MySQL is open source the API's needed to interface with it should also be avaiable from their site. I'm gonna guess ans say that, that is what these components are using. So if you are not going to purchase it then it looks like you are going to have to get down and dirty with some API.
