accessing problem with other pc to mine

hi all,

i have a problem, i have created a website with a login page, i have set up the site correctly (to my knowledge) on IIS, my issue is when i try to run it from another computer in my lan (ie. \\myhostcomputer\webproject\login.aspx), it comes up with page not displayed... but if i map the directory itself, all of the files are there!!
i am very confused and getting frustrated. if someone could help me i would be really grateful,

gah, i figured it out. sorry guys i was specifying "\\host\folder\ etc", when it SHOULD have been "http://host/folder/name.aspx"
simple newbie mistake
