I get the following error as an exception once in a while

VB.NET:

Any idea what it means?

Nothing wrong with that document or loading it by XmlDocument.Load(String filename), testing it it loads fine. Perhaps temporary due to server down time you were not returned a document from that url.

Would a try catch fix this problem? It updates the online list every 10 seconds, so if one it doesnt update, that isnt a big deal because it will update next time.

Yes, you can Try-Catch to handle the exception.

Hello, I'm new here with this same issue regarding one of the many pieces of equipment there in our lab. The tech support for the instrument has been MIA for 3 weeks, probably b/c they don't know how to fix it, and other members of our lab want to purchase a new computer to "fix" the problem. This results in the 'novice-but-humans-should-be-smarter-than-computers' member to call BS and try to fix it. I looked at other forums and this one seemed the most advanced/best fit for our issue, so to avoid starting another thread, I was wondering if someone could please help us. I am definitely a .net novice, but I have programmed in other languages and am not afraid to get down and dirty. Thank you in advance.
