Hi Guys/Girls,

Would it be possible to add an update to the forum to allow other users to see that someone is already working on a post knowing that it is going to take some time to construct an answer to be posted.

As an example there was a post this morning that I knew was going to take some time to go through and compile an appropriate response to. Due to the fact that no one can see if someone else is working on an answer to that post then the inevitable happens and we as users start to post similar or duplicate answers thereby wasting each others valuable time.

I am not saying that this should stop another user from posting an answer but just to give other users an indication that a post is being looked into.

If it's possible to do something like this then the user who sets a post as "being looked at" should be made to add an expiry time for looking into that post so that if the user does not post within that time the "being looked at" flag is removed for other uses to see that this is no longer being look into. In addition once the user sends his next post back to the post that he is "looking into" it automatically removes the "being looked at" flag.

Just a thought.

Cheers,

Ian
