Which version of Visual studio do you have?

I have VS 2005 team edition and i haven't tried the new IDE (VS 2008) yet.
It looks promising but, as i can still do everything that i need in VS 2005 i do not plan transition very soon. Maybe when they announce the release candidate but, again it depends on policy of my company. They must bring the decision as it means investment anyway. :D

Oh right, I've just got the basic standard one from MS..your in a company.

I use VB+VWD 2005 Express and still have VB 2003 Standard (was considering an upgrade from this to 2005 Standard). Awaiting VB 2008 Express release too :) I have also installed SharpDevelop 1.1+2.0 "just to have a look", but haven't really taken the time to try them yet. Further on the "need more time" wishlist is trying out the new development suites from MS, like XNA, Robotics, Silverlight and Expression and who knows what more.

Both at work and at home I have:
VS 6.0
VS 2003 Pro
VS 2005 Pro

and I'm waiting for VS 2008 Express

How did you acquire vb 03 pro?

I got VS 2003 Academic (which is pro) from my local college for the VB.Net classes I took years ago.

At work they bought 25 VS 2003 Pro licenses so my department can do the work for our clients.

How long does one version last?

As long as you have it installed on your system
VS 2003 will still be around for a very long time (even though VS 2005 is taking over)

Right I see, thanks for the reply.
