Hi all,

I am considering VS 2008 Pro or SE
I am currently using VS 2005 SE Academic

I have searched but cannot find a nice comparison chart that will give me the exact features in Pro that I will not receive in SE

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Also, why the continued focus on Crystal Reports and not SSRS? Wouldn't that allow MS to cust cost if they do not have to license Crystal Reports?

Thanks

From what I remember, for VS 2003 the academic version was a re-named professional version, meaning it's Pro it's just labeled as academic. I don't know if they've continued this with VS 2005/2008 since there's an express (free) version for these newer versions anyways.

Thanks Juggalo,

I'm sure there are other items missing from my current install of VS 2005 SE Academic.

Some Items I notice off the top:
-Crystal Reports
-MS Office Add-Ins

Two areas of VS I would like to learn much more about

Thanks
