Visual Studio 2008 Pro Trial edition problem

I am having trouble with a very simple Window Mobile 6.x application developed in Visual Studio 2008 Pro Trial edition. It runs fine on the emulator and the cab file(s) installs fine without any error messages but displays "Error" when I try to run the application. There are two buttons "Details" and "Quit" at the bottom of the form (device window) but shows no additional information when I press them. The application has only one form and no custom code. The only two certificates on the device that shows up in the query are privileged and unprivileged test certificates that I have used. I am wondering if this is a limitation of the Visual Studio Trial edition or a common problem with the full blown version as well.

I've never used the trial edition but it is a trial so I doubt that you can deploy software created with it.
