Variable change event?

Is there a way to monitor a variable? Or is there already a built-in event to watch a variable?

I'm sorry, but i've only heard of properties, but never used them. I don't know either how to raise an event.

There are some excellent free videos on a few fundamentals on the Microsoft Website - including one which shows you how to do what you want to do.
