I think I have source code that was initially built in either VB6 or VB.Net Standard 2003, would I be able to upgrade the source code to Visual Studio 2005 Standard Edition?

I think I've answered this question elsewhere but, regardless, the answer is "yes". It's a quite different process, depending on whether it's VB6 or and olderversion of VB.NET though. Either way, you can open the project in VB 2005 and it will be converted. For a VB.NET project, it's basically just the solution and project files that get edited. For a VB6 project, the entire source code has to be rewritten for VB.NET. The consensus is that, in most cases, you're better off rewriting a VB6 project from scratch.

Thanks Kulrom, I believe it is a VB.Net project....I have just been informed. I will endeavour to install Visual Studio 2005......ye ye I know its old and so amI....hehehehehe

Thanks heaps...everyone.....
