Question Update Active Directory Attribute

I need to update our Active Directory from a web phone book application I wrote. I only need to update the telephone number attribute. However, after three days of searcing Google and the Internet (I think I actually reached the end) I have come up empty handed. I have al the user information needed such as their SAM, Full Name, etc. Any help in pointing me in the right direction would be much appreciated. I know one of my issues is figuring out what my LDAP query string is if I need to use one. I am 100% confused how to find this as our Active Directory is setup with a ton of groups and various user in these groups.
