trying ot get a reference to work for Excel

Hi,
I am trying to get an Excel reference working and it will not go. I had the working on an xp computer but I got a new laptop with Vista Premium (64 bit), and it is not working here; and I got it from the references and com. In the intelliSense I get only up to "Imports Excel = Microsoft" Any ideas will be appreciated.
