Question Troubleshooting a Live local ASP.Net Web Application?

Help Im a Newb!
I have been asked to maintain a home grown ASP.Net web application that has been deployed, and is in use, on a local server. How to do I access the application, useing Visual Studio 2008, if I need to parse through the code to troubleshoot or make modifications.
