Tab Key Introduces Dotted Borders onto Buttons

Is there any way to remove these dotted borders?

If the TAB Key is never pressed they don't seem to appear.

Once the TAB Key is pressed even once, they keep showing up.

(I have set TabStop to False on all the buttons however the issue still exists when the buttons are clicked on, after TAB is pressed)

It is something you will see in every Windows program, it means the control has focus.

You can however use this and return False: Control.ShowFocusCues Property (System.Windows.Forms)

I'm curious to know why you would want to not have the windows default indications on your buttons, are you planning on showing that focus cue to the user in some other way?

Thanks guys, I ended up overriding ShowFocusCues in a new Class.


This was the only way that worked for me.
