Stopping a screensaver that is running

I need to check if a screensaver is running (which doesnt have a password) and if so, stop it. I know I can do it a messy way by, for example, sending a key, but is there a proper way to do it?

Here's some code to detect screensaver activation, interupting with SendKeys is probably ok.
