Simple question hopefully,

when i open up the server explorer in visual studio 2003 i can get a list of databases from my sql server, but when looking at the 'Views' in my book it says i should be able to right click on the 'views' and add a new view, only problem is i dont seem to get a add new view option, is their something simple im missing.

Thanks

I just tried quik and it worked!

Are you right clicking on an existing view? Right click on the words "views" and it should bring up a dialogue!

Give it a try, otherwise it might be a set of permissions in your database.

I had the same question, was not able to create a new view from server explorer. I am able to create new views inside SQL Server though. Any other thoughts on this?

What versions of the IDE is everyone using? I don't know if this is the case, but perhaps the more basic versions of the IDE don't have the capability to make the desired changes.

to be honest I have no idea. Mine just says VS.Net 2003 but the company I'm at is a Microsoft Gold Partner so maybe its updated.....
