Serial port

Hello,
I made long time ago in VB6.0 project that was listening on a serial port and reciveing byte data when button was clicked, and had option of selecting port and baud rate. Now I need same thing in .net 2005. I tried to upgrade my old project - nothing... I tried to make same project step by step in .net - nothing...
Can anyone provide my with little project that will be just like my old one?

.Net 2.0 added managed support for serial ports, the SerialPort class, look into it.
