Question send text commands?

Hi there, I want to do something, but I'm totally not sure how to go about doing it.

I have vb.net, and i want it to be able to automaticaly type text commands into a java.exe command window.

I've tried using sendkeys, but due to it being on win2003 server and the station being locked it does not work.
