Saving RichTextBox to SQL DB

I'm having a small issue with my program (using VS2008 and programming in vb.net)

My purpose is to save all contents (text+format+images) to my SQL DB field (VARBINARY (MAX) )

Now if I want to update it, it works fine, but if I try to save a new record then nothing get saved (0 records updated)

Is there something missing?

Should have worked around a bit more before taking up space in here..
UPDATE vs INSERT
changed it with

cmd = New SqlCommand("INSERT INTO tblFCN (FCNentry) VALUES (@FCNentry) SELECT FCNentry FROM tblFCN WHERE FCNid= '" & FCNidTextBox.Text & "'", cn)

And everything worked like a charm
