Reporting without a DB connection

Hi guys
I want to generate report and I am not certain Crystal report can handle this.
I want to generate report from strings and array of strings only.
I have some functions that generate the strings iteratively and want to put them on the report object one after the other - as generated.
it is some kind of student record report and has so many subreports.
I also want the report object to handle paging, page text scrolling and others.
I need your advise on this Pls
Which reporting option/softwares should I use.

You can use Crystal Report which is also provided by Visual Studio .NET.
