Question Question about Mac Address

I wish to create a program that can monitor mac adresses on my wireless network. I don't really know how I would go about doing that but that's why i'm posting. I tried googling it but I couldn't really make out a similar question to mine. I'm not sure if it makes a difference but i'm using windows vista and have obtained a wireless n router and usb n receiver. Anyways any thanks would be appreciated.
