Question program works in my computer but does'nt work in other computer

Greetings!
I'm new here. I have a problem in my program and I really need your help.
I tried to deploy it to another computer Windows XP Home Ed. (OS). I used .Net Framework 3.5 then successfully installed my program but the program has some error when I run it, it says,

It looks like you are doing a Shell call from form Load event, for a file that is not found.

Yes! Exactly! I do that for database update. What should I do with it?
This is my code for calling that shell during form load.

Shell("D:\Accounting System\Accounting System VB\term.bat")

Is this right? This code works in my computer, I just don't know why it doesn't work when I installed it to another computer. Please help. Thanks!

Obviously that path doesn't point to a file in other computer, why should it?

About batch files, they have their use, especially when you need to do simple tasks outside managed .Net environment, but you are calling it from your .Net application which have far superior file handling and programming support. Perhaps it would be a better idea to do whatever that .bat file does with VB code?

That .bat file only updates some table that I linked in my access database. I haven't tried to code the update of this table yet in my .Net file. If still isn't gonna work then I should probably try to code it in my .Net application. Thanks a lot.
