problem when reading from Excel file

Hi , i was trying to open an excel file whithin my code in the application to read from an excel file .Everything worked fine ,i'm using OleDbConnection to connect .The problem is that when i'm having in the excel file some cells that have the warning 'Number stored as text' these cells in my application seems to be empty ,they return DBNull .....any idea
I really need to solve this issue within the code of my application and not to open the excel file and remove the warning any ideas on the subject or articles that may help
