Vb.net how to prevent .excel date data format -MM/DD/YY or validate it? Is YY a good way or not?

Please provide a FULL and CLEAR explanation of the problem. Generally speaking, a four-digit year is better than a two-digit year for obvious reasons. What that means in your specific case is anyone's guess.

Hi, thanks for your Replay. This comes from the client's end. But I have doubts YY format is wrong that's why asking here. one more thing client also specifies "Date Data Type in excel with the format MM/DD/YY" but validates this in vb.net.
