Please help KeyPress event

i want it so when i press "y" a messagebox will say "y" but it says "y" then "n"

Or, are you trying to determine if two kets are pressed simultaneously?

why not use a Select Case here:

      Case Keys.Y : Messagebox.Show("Y was pressed")

another simple solution

Set the Form's KeyPreview property to TRUE

Private Sub Form1_KeyPress..
MessageBox.Show(e.KeyChar & " was pressed")
End Sub
