i am going to run small vb.net project (vb.net) having the backend msacess
when i used the insert command to insert record inside the databse

the error:
operation must used update query..

the project run on the xp very wel but VISTA not allow to insert the record..

whyyyyyyyy?

help plz..

hi,

operation must use an updateable query

I am facing this problem when I am inserting data into access 2000 database.

It is working when I am putting my mdb file in Debug folder, but give an error putting in other folder.

I am using MS Access 2000 ,VS 2005 and vista OS

please Urgent reply.......

If you are using the 64 bit version of Vista you must complile your application as an x86 application to use the x86 Jet Drivers. There are NO Vista x64 bit Jet Drivers.
