Opening an existing document in Word

I want to make a document in Word, and then back in vb.net I want to use a button to open up a document in word. I looked at the code here: http://www.vbdotnetheaven.com/UploadFile/mgold/WordDocument04182005081441AM/WordDocument.aspx but it does not work.

Any ideas?
