Question Opc and vb.net

Hello,

Any one can give me suggestion about how to make a communication from vb.net to OPC server?
an example will be really appreciated..

I have tried to google it around but end with OPC Control.net
is there anyway to make a communication without any 3rd party library? I am hoping to use only vb.net resource?

It's not a trivial thing to do yourself so that's why there are third-party components around that take care of the heavy lifting for you. This seems to be for DIY though:
