OleDb validation does not accept the value

I hav use a 'Validation Rule' for a Text Field in Microsoft Access: Like "??*"

When I try to input any value in this field from Vb.net 2003 via an 'Insert SQL', the validation does not accept the value..

I am using 'oleDb'.

Can someone try 'inputing' a value from vb.net (using oleDb) into a Field in any microsoft access file having validation rule: Like "??*"

I need answers to my question in the next 5 hrs max..

Drop the validation from the db and do it in the client, as a quick fix
