No underscore for access key

Hi, has anyone come across this problem :-
When assigning an access key to the text property of a button using the ampersand prefix to the required character (ie E&xit for x as the access key on the exit button), the underlining of the character x is visible in the development environment form designer but not when the project is compiled and run. ??
Help please , have I forgotten something?

In runtime it is not visible until you key down the ALT, this is OS default behaviour.

You can set Windows to display the underscores without having to hold ALT.

Go into Display properties, click the Appearance tab, then click Effects. Uncheck the "hide underlines letters..." option, hit OK, and you should be good to go.
