Hey this is my first post and I wasn't really sure where to post this, so sorry if its in the wrong place.

I am currently studying for my mcad and then mcsd in vb.net/asp.net 1.1 and vs 2003 (web design & developement). These however seem abit old to me and I am wondering if you think it would be wise/advantageous to start looking at 2.0-3.0 and vs 2008?

Or more of a hinderence taking on an upgraded version at the same time?

Am I right in thinking that you can do one exam to become a MCP and you can choose any 4 to become a MCSD ?

What kind of prospects does this qualification offer?

For example, if a company required a vb.net programmer..

Would an applicant with a degree stand out more compared to an applicant with a MCSD or MCP (vb.net)?

Thanks!

You need to do 3 exams for the MCAD, and 5 for the MCSD. However although you do get some options, your choices are limited to a few exams.
